Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park
Join us for a visual exploration of our natural world. Our Wilderness Station staff will lead a brief lesson covering basic drawing strategies that you can implement in your drawing. We will then hike around Barfield Park sketching what we see in nature. Bring your own sketchbook, drawing materials, and consider something to sit on such as a blanket. Did you know the Duck River is the most diverse river in North America with over 150 fish species and 50 different fresh water mussels and it's right in our backyard! Lets explore the aquatic life this important river has to offer. Meet at the Wilderness Station where we will transport you to the Duck River. Enjoy a guided hike and information about the critters we will find. Bring your water shoes and a sense of adventure. Registration is required.
