Little kids love to play and that’s what they do while learning to wait their turn, follow directions and work together to accomplish simple goals. The focus is on body part recognition, cognitive skill development and of course FUN. For ages 5 and under.
Tai Chi Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline consisting of slow movements and postures done in a fluid and relaxed manner. It is used to reduce stress, improve muscle strength, increase flexibility, stamina, and agility, as well as the feeling of well being. For ages 15+.
Wilderness Station
Check out various science in nature self-guided hands on experiments in the warmth of the Wilderness Station. Such experiments are bird watching at our feeders from the back room windows, learning about how birds are able to make their long migration flights, and more! Weekdays 2-4:30 PM. For all ages.
Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park
Have you ever wondered what it takes to own an exotic animal? Are you thinking about getting a snake, turtle, lizard or some other exotic animal? We'll go over basic needs of common exotics that people keep as pets and let you know which ones make good pets and which ones don't. We'll be bringing some of our personal exotic pets that are not on display at the Wilderness Station for you all to see!
