    During the month of October, visit Cannonsburgh Village to complete our Fall Bucket List Challenge. Fulfill the thirty-one tasks throughout the month or all in one visit. Experience fall in the village while checking off each task. The list will be available in print in the Visitors Center, as well as on the the Cannonsburgh Facebook page and event calendar listing on murfreesborotn.gov. The village is open Tuesday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm, and Sundays 1:00pm-4pm. The village may close for special events, so you may want to call before you visit.   11. Fall Family Campout

    Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park

    It’s still backpacking, but made as family-friendly as possible. Check in is required at the Wilderness Station before beginning your 1-mile hike to the campground. Keep in mind you have to carry your own gear to the campsite via the paved trail. Wagons and backpacks are great things to bring. Once there park staff will be on hand to help you set up and settle in. Tents (2-person and 4-person), ground cloths, sleeping pads, and backpacks (available in both youth and adult sizes) are available by request when registering to camp. A short, mandatory Wilderness Awareness/ Leave No Trace workshop will be held around the campfire after setup. We will then enjoy dinner (provided, along with breakfast) and an optional evening activity. Registration is required. Dinner: beef hotdogs, chips, fruits and veggies, water and lemonade. Dessert: S’mores. Breakfast: Muffins, bananas, coffee and orange juice. Limit 50.
