Swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles over the course of the summer. Track your progress on provided logs, then turn in by the end of the summer (July 31) for a t-shirt. For ages 1-4 with adult. Welcome to the Wilderness! Introduce your child to the wonders of nature in this fun-filled class designed just for them. Each week the adventure starts with unique songs and a discussion about the animal of the week. We reinforce each topic with a simple craft and a nature hike or fun activity. learn about the wonderful, wacky wildlife that lives in Tennessee. Registration is required. Learn different techniques using acrylic paints with artist, Vivian Karros. All supplies are provided. $25 fee collected at 8:45 am by the instructor first day of class with credit card, cash, or check made out to Vivian Karros. Class meets on June 12 and 26. Limited to 12 students.

Refire: Aging With Purpose at St. Clair Street Senior Center is a program with 7 sessions. Each session will feature a professional focusing on topics such as: nutrition, sleep, stress and brain health. Begins May 8 and meets on Wednesdays for seven sessions from 9:30-11:30 am. This class is for people with Type 2 diabetes (T2) or those who are at risk for T2. It is a prevention class/support group, teaching how to prevent T2 diabetes and/or how to prevent the complications of T2 diabetes. Please sign up only if you are committed to coming regularly. Discussions include nutrition, mental and physical health and healthy cooking demos. Class runs from March 6-June 26. Meets in Room E303.
