Google map of Walter Hill Trailhead, Walter Hill Dam, and Walter Hill Park Opens in new windowThe Walter Hill Trailhead is at the entrance to Murfreesboro's Walter Hill Recreation Area on the East Fork Stones River at Highway 231. It is the southeast end of the shaded 1.3-mile North Murfreesboro Greenway that follows the river northwest to Central Valley Trailhead. Take in dramatic views of the East Fork Stones River from the bluffs along the way. A ramp for launching small boats is at the far end of the Recreation Area.

Note:
The North Murfreesboro Greenway between Walter Hill Trailhead and Central Valley Trailhead is no longer part of the Twin Forks Horse Trail. Horses are not allowed on the Greenway. Access the horse trail from Central Valley Trailhead.
