Citizens are receiving calls by a person impersonating as a MWSD employee. Customers are being threatened with interruption of water service if immediate payment over the phone is not received. THIS IS A SCAM. Calls placed by our department for payment will only occur via an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) System. If you receive a call requesting payment by a person, hang up.
