[ARCHIVED] MFRD Extricates 18 Year Old from Vehicle at Ransom Drive and South Rutherford

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s Engine 3 and Rescues 2 and 8 responded to a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Ransom Drive and South Rutherford Boulevard around 5:45 Tuesday evening.

One of the vehicles involved was stuck in the median; the other grazed a large pine tree in the yard of a residence and hit a fence in between two houses. MFRD crews had to extricate the passenger of that vehicle. The driver was unharmed.

The victim was transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Captain Ricky Jones, the cause of the accident is unknown, but Murfreesboro Police Department is conducting an investigation.
