The Murfreesboro City Council will meet in a regular workshop meeting, 11:30 a.m., Wed., June 10, at Murfreesboro Police Headquarters, Community Room, 1004 N. Highland Ave., to discuss issues with staff and “Second Reading” of the FY21 proposed Budget. 

       Who: The Murfreesboro City Council and City Staff.

       What: The Council will gather to discuss City issues with Staff, including “Second Reading” of the proposed FY21 Budget.

  • Adoption of proposed FY 21 Budget (Administration) (Action Item)

    • Ordinance 20-0-18 (2nd reading) FY21 Appropriations Ordinance

    • Ordinance 20-0-19 (2nd reading) FY21 Tax Rate Ordinance

  • Amendment to Contract for City Hall Garage Camera (Information Technology)

  • Budget and Financials Update and April Dashboard Information (Admin.)

  • Reconsider Sewer Basin 10A -3 and 4 Density Restriction (Water Resources)

    When: Thursday, June 10, 2020 - 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Council unanimously approved the FY21 Budget June 4, 2020, on “First Reading” following a Public Hearing. A copy of the Proposed FY21 Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, is available on the City’s website at https://www.murfreesborotn.gov/DocumentCenter/View/11576/FY-21-Proposed-Budget    

Due to Covid-19 and CDC guidelines, social distancing will be observed.

On July 26, 2018, City Council adopted Resolution 18-R-23 establishing regular Council Meeting dates as Thursday at 7:00 p.m., now 6:00 p.m., and adding the second Wednesday of each month at  11:30 a.m. for holding regular special Workshop Sessions. Regular meetings in a workshop format allow staff and Council to discuss City issues, facilitate discussions, provide information, and receive Council direction.

Additionally, the regular workshop meetings allow staff to discuss City matters with Council in a public meeting that citizens can attend and observe, in keeping with Council priority for community engagement.
