[ARCHIVED] Discovery Center to host ‘Wine & Whiskey at the Wetlands’ March 6


The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring will host the 7th annual Wine & Whiskey at the Wetlands, a unique tasting event featuring fine wines and whiskeys, presented by Charlie Patel and Stones River Total Beverages, on Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at  Attendees must be 21 or older.

’Wine & Whiskey at the Wetlands’ features more than 150 exceptional local and crafted wines, fine whiskies and spirits provided by Stones River Total Beverages. Guests can visit multiple stations throughout the museum with experts providing details about each wine, along with a mark-your-favorite drink guide. Food will be available for purchase from Cousin’s Maine Lobster and the Steaming Goat food trucks.

“Wine & Whiskey is one of our favorite events to host throughout the year,” said Tara MacDougall, Discovery Center CEO. “It helps us fund a wide range of critical programs that benefit the local community here in Murfreesboro and beyond. And it means so much to us that supporters and business owners like Charlie Patel and Stones River Total Beverages continue to partner with us in our mission to ‘engage curious minds to fuel the future.’”

Guests can enjoy an evening of adult time out with activities such as the museum’s MathRox featured exhibit, wine ring toss, and "Wine & Wii."

Tickets are available in advance for $35 per person, or $40 at the door. Designated driver tickets are $15 per person. Proceeds benefit the Discovery Center.

The Discovery Center will close early at 2 p.m. on March 6 to prepare for the event.

Wine & Whiskey at the Wetlands is presented by Charlie Patel and Stones River Total Beverages and sponsored in part by Franklin Synergy Bank.

The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a hands-on, environmental, cultural and educational museum located in the heart of Middle Tennessee. More than 120,000 children and families visit annually, exploring exhibits and participating in programs that promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) education.
