Members of the public are invited to celebrate International Observe the Moon Night on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the Technology Engagement Center located at 306 Minerva Dr. in Murfreesboro.
International Observe the Moon Night is an annual worldwide public event that encourages observation, appreciation and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration. The annual event connects
scientists, educators and lunar enthusiasts from around the world.
The event at the TEC will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will include Moon-themed story time, crafts, snacks and telescopes for observation. The Astronomy
Club of MTSU will be there, providing a guided tour of the Moon, planets and other celestial objects for visitors.
