[ARCHIVED] Learn how to canoe and kayak for free June 30

Join Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation for Boat Day with the Stones River Watershed Association (SWRA) at the Manson Pike Trailhead on Saturday, June 30, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 

Try out different types of canoes and kayaks with the help from volunteers from Stones River Watershed Association. 

You’ll learn boating basics, paddling strokes and boat safety from knowledgeable volunteers. 

Discover characteristics and advantages of each craft. 

Paddles and personal flotation devices will be provided. 

The event is free and all ages are welcome. Manson Pike Trailhead is located at 1208 Searcy St. (off Medical Center Parkway).
