[ARCHIVED] Rover public meeting on comprehensive study Nov. 14

Rover Moving Murfreesboro

The City of Murfreesboro is conducting a comprehensive study of its “Rover” public transportation system. 

The purpose of the study is to ensure that Rover remains efficient and convenient for existing customers while reaching new areas and serving new customer groups. The study will evaluate the existing service and will consider changes to routes, schedules and possible extension of hours and days of operation. The study also will examine new approaches to public transit service and new sources of community support.

An informal public meeting will be held on November 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Patterson Park Community Center, located at 521 Mercury Blvd. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the study purpose, goals and objectives, an analysis of the existing Rover system, and preliminary changes to the system proposed for 2018. The City of Murfreesboro is seeking comments from the public on the analysis and proposed changes. All residents are encouraged to attend.
