[ARCHIVED] MFRD Responds to Duplex Fire

Murfreesboro Fire Rescue's Districts 1, 3, and 8 responded to a duplex fire located at 819 Vine Street just before 10:00 am Wednesday.

Upon arrival, crews discovered light smoke venting from the structure. 


Firefighters made entry and found fire in the kitchen on the back side of one of the units. 


According to Acting Captain Randy Shaw, crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.


The resident will be displaced, but did not require assistance from the Red Cross. There were no injuries associated with this incident. 


MFRD's Fire Marshal's Office is conducting a routine investigation.
