A juvenile is believed to be responsible for a set fire that occurred at 2018 Bradyville Pike Wednesday morning.

Crews responded to the address around 8:15 to discover pine straw and other debris smoldering on the front deck of the brick home.

A neighbor was able to extinguish the fire with a garden hose before units arrived on scene.

Witness statements were taken by the Fire Marshal’s Office. According to Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Bartlett two juveniles were seen near the location playing with a lighter before departing on the school bus.

The investigation is on-going at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
