The Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy (TFACA) is pleased to recognize departments across the state for their commitment to training and career development.
As we close out our 2014-2015 fiscal year, TFACA has identified 47 total departments in our “Elite Club” - surpassing our previous record of 44 in FY 08-09. Departments are recognized as “Elite Club” members when they obtain more than 1,000 contact training hours with TFACA for a year. For FY 14-15, 624 organizations received fire training from TFACA and a total of 9,169 students attended 697 classes.
Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue achieved recognition with a total of 2215 student contact hours. Their contact hours were comprised of Technical Rescue training including Rope Rescue Operation, Rope Recue Technician and Confined Space. The department also focused on, Pumper Driver Operator, Aerial Operator, Fire Instructor I and Officer Development with Fire Officer I and II.
