Asbury Lane Realignment

Beasie/River Rock Connector

This project consists of constructing a bridge over Stone River which will connect Beasie Road to River Rock Boulevard. The designed connection will be a three lane curb and gutter roadway with sidewalks and a multi-use path. This project is currently in the bidding phase.

Brinkley Road Phase 1

This locally funded project widens the Brinkley Bridge and approaches across Overall Creek to a three lane curb and gutter section with sidewalks and a multi-use path. This project is currently under construction.

Butler Drive Realignment

This project will consist of constructing a new 5 lane road with curb, gutter, sidewalks and a multi-use path from the west end of Siegel Park to Sulphur Springs Road. This project is currently in the environmental permitting stage.

Cherry Lane Phase 3

This project will consist of constructing a new 5 lane road with curb, gutter, sidewalks and a multi-use path from Sulphur Springs Road to NW Broad Street. It will also include an interchange at I-840. This project is currently in the Right-of-Way acquisition phase.

Gateway Boulevard Extension

This project consists of building an extension on the south side of Gateway Boulevard to Robert Rose Drive. The road will be 3 lanes with curb and gutter. This project is currently in the Right-of-Way acquisition phase.

Lytle Street Phase 3

This project consists of reconstructing the area around the old First United Methodist block including Lytle St, N Church St, N Spring St, and W College St. This phase will be a 2 lane curb and gutter section with sidewalk and bike lanes.

McKnight Park Access Road

This project is the construction of an access road that will provide a connection between McKnight Park and adjoining properties to the west. This design will extend the current access road behind Panda Express approximately 200 ft to the north and 100 ft to the east, making a connection within McKnight Park. This project is currently in the design phase.

Medical Center Parkway Phase 1

Widen Medical Center Parkway from a 4 lane section to a 6 lane section from I-24 to Thompson Lane. This project is currently in the design phase.

Medical Center Parkway Phase 2

Widen Medical Center Parkway from a 4 lane section to a 6 lane section from Thompson Lane approximately .85 miles to the east. This project is currently in the design phase.

Medical Center Parkway Phase 3

Restripe and repave Medical Center Pkwy from the Fountains to Broad St. This phase also includes improvements to the Broad and Medical Center intersection which includes double left turn lanes from Broad St onto Medical Center Parkway heading West on Medical Center and also adding double right turn lanes on Medical Center Pkwy heading south on Broad St. This project is currently in the design phase.

Rucker Lane Phase 2

Rebuild Rucker Lane from SR 96 to just north of Muirwood Blvd to a 3-lane roadway with curb, gutter and sidewalks. The approximate length is 2.4 miles. This project is currently in the design phase.

Rutherford Boulevard Extension

This project will be the construction of a new road connecting Rutherford Boulevard to Warrior Drive, including a bridge over I-24. This project is currently in the design phase.

Rutherford Boulevard/Broad Street Intersection

This project will consist of providing additional turn lanes on all approaches of South Rutherford Boulevard and SE Broad Street. This project is currently in the design phase.

Saint Andrews Drive Widening

Widen Saint Andrews Drive from New Salem Hwy to Veterans Pkwy to a 3-lane section with curb, gutter and sidewalks. This project is currently in the design phase.
