Legal Notice of Public Hearing

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2022-427] to rezone approximately 9.75 acres located along the east side of Agripark Drive from CH (Highway Commercial District) to PRD (Planned Residential District), as shown on this illustration.  The purpose of the proposed PRD zoning (Arden at Murfreesboro PRD) is to allow a development of 166 multi-family residential units, restricted to ages 55 and up.  The request is being made by FC Murfreesboro, LLC, whose representative, Mr. Matt Taylor of SEC, Inc., may be contacted at (615) 890-7901 for additional information. Copies of the application and zoning plan are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend or to participate in a meeting should be made by calling Kevin Jones at (615) 893-3750 at least two (2) working days in advance.

Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider a request for annexation [2023-501] and the adoption of a Plan of Services for approximately 146 acres located along Highway 99 south of Clearidge Drive, as shown on this illustration. Included in the annexation request is approximately 3,600 linear feet of Highway 99 right-of-way.  The request is being made by the City of Murfreesboro.  A copy of the Plan of Services is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall, and it is anticipated that it will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  Interested parties may obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615) 893 6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend or to participate in a meeting should be made by calling Kevin Jones at (615) 893-3750 at least two (2) working days in advance.

Legal Notice of Public Hearing

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on February 1, 2023 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2023-801] to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Section 34: Floodplain Zoning.  The purpose of the proposed amendments is make miscellaneous updates to Section 34, including, but not limited to, the adoption of new flood insurance rate maps and the addition of language to Section 34 regarding flood prone areas that are located outside of the special flood hazard areas denoted on the flood insurance rate maps.  If adopted, the proposed Section 34 will replace the existing Section 34.  The request is being made by the City of Murfreesboro Planning Department, which may be contacted at (615)-893-6441 for additional information.  A copy of the proposed amended Section 34 is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that it will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend or to participate in a meeting should be made by calling Kevin Jones at (615) 893-3750 at least two (2) working days in advance of the meeting.
