The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on May 1, 2019 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider a petition for annexation [2019-504] and the adoption of a Plan of Services for approximately 3.1 acres located along Shelbyville Pike.  The petition is being made by Mr. Douglas M. Dales, whose representative, Mr. Matt Taylor of SEC, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-890-7901 for additional information.  A copy of the Plan of Services is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall, and it is anticipated that a copy will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on May 1, 2019 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an amendment [2019-804] to the Subdivision Regulations and Street Design Specifications.  The proposed amendment seeks to rescind an amendment adopted by the Planning Commission in 2017 regarding telecommunications equipment and fiber optic cable in the public right-of-way.  The following sections of the Street Design Specifications will be affected: Section 2.8.8: Obstructions and Section 2.17.1: Addition of Underground Fiber Optic Cable to Existing Right-of-way.  A copy of the proposed amendment is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the Murfreesboro Legal Department. The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on May 1, 2019 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2019-803] to the Zoning Ordinance as regards Section 14: Districts Established, Section 22: Industrial Districts, Chart 1: Uses Permitted by Zoning District, and Chart 2: Minimum Lot Requirements, Minimum Yard Requirements, and Land Use Intensity Ratios.  The  purposes of the amendment are to create a new industrial zoning district and remove certain industrial uses from Chart 1, Uses Permitted by Zoning District, of the Zoning Ordinance.  A copy of the proposed amendments is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro Planning Department. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2019-806] to the Zoning Ordinance as regards Section 24, Article V: Planned Signage Overlay District.  The  purpose of the amendment is to amend Subsection (C) of this Article pertaining to zoning districts and uses which are eligible for the Planned Signage Overlay District zoning.  A copy of the proposed amendment is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro Building and Codes Department. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2019-805] to the Murfreesboro City Code, Chapter 25.2 -Signs.  The proposed amendment pertains to building entry signs, banners, and signs for institutional group assembly uses.  A copy of the proposed amendments is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro Building and Codes Department. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2019-802] to the Zoning Ordinance as regards Section 24, Article VI: City Core Overlay District (CCO).  The  purpose of the amendment is to modify the zoning standards for the City Core Overlay District (CCO).  A copy of the proposed amendment is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro Planning Department.
