The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on May 2, 2018 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on May 2, 2018 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2018-801] to amend Murfreesboro City Code Appendix A – Zoning, Section 7, Site Plan Review; Section 26, Off-Street Parking, Queuing and Loading; and Chart 4, Required Off-Street Parking and Queuing Spaces by Use.  The amendment has four purposes:  1) to clarify the appeal process for administrative site plan conditions and decisions; 2) to clarify that outdoor seating areas for restaurants, bars and taverns, commercial centers, and shopping centers are required to utilize the same parking ratios as indoor seating areas; 3) to adjust the required parking ratio for commercial centers to one space for every 225 square feet of floor area; and 4) to adjust the required parking ratio for neighborhood shopping centers to one space for every 250 square feet of floor area.  A copy of the amendment is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615) 893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
