The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2023-402] to rezone approximately 22 acres located along Wenlon Drive from RM-12 (Multi-Family Residential District) to PRD (Planned Residential District), as shown on this illustration.  The purpose of the proposed PRD (The Murph PRD) is to increase the number of dwelling units on-site to a total density of 14.19 dwelling units per acre by modifying the interiors of the existing apartment buildings, resulting in a total of 312 dwelling units.  The application is being made by Eastman Residential, whose representative, Mr. Clyde Rountree of Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc., may be contacted at (615) 893 4084 for additional information.  Copies of the application and zoning plan are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615) 893 6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  Requests for an accommodation to enable an individual with a disability to attend or to participate in a meeting should be made by calling Kevin Jones at (615) 893 3750 at least two (2) working days in advance.

Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2023-403] to rezone approximately 14.7 acres located along East Northfield Boulevard and North Tennessee Boulevard from CF (Commercial Fringe District) to PRD (Planned Residential District) and approximately 3.3 acres from CF to PCD (Planned Commercial District), as shown on this illustration.  The purpose of the proposed PRD (Northfield Acres PRD) is to allow for 37 single-family detached dwelling units and 40 single-family attached dwelling units (townhomes).  The purpose of the proposed PCD (Northfield Acres PCD) is to allow a development consisting of two commercial buildings and a potential gas canopy.  The request is being made by Haury & Smith Contractors, Inc., whose representative, Mr. Matt Taylor of SEC, Inc., may be contacted at (615) 890-7901 for additional information.
