Citizens Fire Academy

Purpose

Citizens Fire Academy is a chance for citizens to better appreciate and understand the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department employees and the services the department offers.

What to Expect

During the six-week course, students receive the opportunity to participate in activities and services provided by MFRD.

Students are able to try on turnout gear, experience climbing a 65’ aerial, practice extrication, run through the firefighter ability test, and much more.

Citizens Fire Academy is held in the fall of each year. Information is usually released in August. If you would like to know more about the CFA, contact Assistant Fire Marshal Shan Womack at 629-201-5618.
