The fabrication and installation of regulatory, warning, and guide signs within the city right-of-ways are performed by our Sign Division.
This division consists of two employees, certified by the International Marking and Signal Association as level II sign technicians. All signs are fabricated through a computer- generated system, using the most current retro-reflective materials. The department maintains a current sign inventory in our computer system, which is the means in determining sign replacement.
Privately owned signs are the responsibility of the property owner. For information regarding the installation and maintenance of signs on private property including temporary signs, banners, and sign permits fees, please contact the Building and Codes Department at 615-893-3750.
