Lead & Copper Residential Questionnaire

The Murfreesboro Water Resources Department (MWRD) is conducting lead and copper analysis of our customers’ home.  This is to ensure that it meets with the requirements established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). The primary source of lead in drinking water is lead solder used to join copper pipes, lead service lines and the customer's fixtures. The monitoring that MWRD performs is done to provide safe drinking water to all of our customers. We need your help to determine the best locations to test for lead and copper.

Please fill out questionnaire below. If your house meets criteria provided by State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), we may ask to test your water in 2023.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Laboratory Supervisor, Kim Burritt, at (615) 848-3222 extension 3305, or by email.
