The City of Murfreesboro strives to provide safe neighborhoods. The City has enacted a traffic calming program to provide a process to evaluate the appropriateness of traffic calming techniques to address traffic speeds, safety, noise and overall quality of life related to vehicular traffic on local neighborhood streets.
A homeowners’ association or homeowners’ group must complete and return an Application for Neighborhood Traffic Calming Consideration. Individual citizens are not eligible to initiate projects for traffic calming. For more information, please contact Michele Emerson via email.
