New Service
Please fill out the attached questionnaire on the new service application for residential customers, excluding apartments, who are requesting new or transferring service. (See service agreement terms and conditions, but do not submit this agreement.) Only new requests received on the new service application form will be processed.

Service initiation: 
  • Fees:
    • $40 nonrefundable service fee
    • $30 returned check fee
    • $75 charge to have water turned on after hours 
  • Photo ID required
  • If service is requested before 3 p.m., the water will usually be turned on the same day

Quick Facts
  • Transferring service to a new location - The non-refundable service initiation fee is added to the first bill at the new address.
  • Cancelling service / moving - Call our Customer Service department and let us know when you need the service terminated.
  • Stopped sewer - We will be glad to identify whether the problem is in our line or yours free of charge. Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department (MWSD) will clear any lines on the city side of the cleanout. MWSD cannot clear blockages within the customer's plumbing.
