LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS


The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on April 5, 2017 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2017-405] to rezone approximately 4.8 acres located along Bridge Avenue and Kings Highway from RS-8 (Single-Family Residential District 8) to RD (Duplex Residential District) (approximately 1 acre), CH (Highway Commercial District) to RD (Duplex Residential District) (approximately 0.5 acres), and H-I (Heavy Industrial District) to L-I (Light Industrial District) (approximately 3.3 acres).  The application is being made by the Sword of the Lord Foundation, whose representative, Mr. Charles Stukenborg, may be contacted at (615) 542-1109 for additional information.  A copy of the application is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615) 893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.


The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on April 5, 2017 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2017-407] to amend the PUD (Planned Unit District) zoning for the Victory Station PUD located along the east side of Rucker Lane on approximately 17.3 acres.  The proposed changes are: to increase the number of allowable dwelling units on the portion of the PUD identified as “Parcel U” and “Parcel V” from 72 to 87; and to add an assisted living center and retail/office structure.  The application is being made by Swanson Development, whose representative, Mr. Clyde Rountree of Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc., may be contacted at (615) 893-4084 for additional information.  Copies of the application and the proposed amendment are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615) 893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2017-802] to the Zoning Ordinance as regards Section 31: Wireless Telecommunications Towers and Antennas, Section 9: Standards for Special Permit Uses, Section 27: Landscaping and Screening, Table 2: Buffer Zone Requirements, Chart 4: Required Off-Street Parking and Queuing Spaces by Use, and Chart 1: Uses Permitted by Zoning District.  A copy of the proposed amendments is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the Murfreesboro Planning and Legal Departments. The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on April 5, 2017 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider amendments [2017-803] to the Subdivision Regulations and Street Design Specifications as regards telecommunications equipment and fiber optic cable in the public right-of-way.  The following sections are proposed to be added to the Street Design Specifications pertaining to the above topics: Section 2.8.8: Obstructions and Section 2.17.1: Addition of Underground Fiber Optic Cable to Existing Right-of-way.  A copy of the proposed amendments is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  The application is being made by the Murfreesboro Legal Department.
