LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Application Z-16-059 by William Kennedy, Rehearing of a request for a Special Use Permit to establish a Group Daycare Home for no more than 12 children, in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 1.  Property is in Single Family Residential (RS-10) zoning district, located at 1411 Marymont Drive.

Application Z-17-016 by Seth Weathersby, on behalf of Donald Bruce Revocable Living Trust,
requesting two Variances from the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 2:
  • A Variance of 14 feet from the minimum rear setback requirement of 25 feet to allow the structure no closer than 11 feet from the property line, and 
  • A Variance of 10 feet from the minimum side setback requirement of 20 feet to allow the structure no closer than 10 feet from the property line.
Property is in Multiple-Family Residential (RM-12) zoning district, located at the southwest corner at the intersection of Power Avenue and Smith Street.

Application Z-17-017 by Eric Lowman, requesting a Variance of 32 feet from the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 2 from the minimum front yard setback requirement of 42 feet to allow the structure no closer than 10 feet from the property line fronting Old Lascassas Road.  Property is in Highway Commercial (CH) zoning district, located at 1510 N. Rutherford Blvd. at the northwest corner at the intersection of N. Rutherford Blvd. and Old Lascassas Road.

Application Z-17-018 by David Branch, requesting a Variance of 4 feet from the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 2 from the minimum side yard setback requirement of 12.5 feet to allow the structure no closer than 8.5 feet from the side property line.  Property is in Single Family Residential (RS-15) zoning district, located at 506 Woodmore Drive.

Application Z-17-019 by Kenneth J. Luse on behalf of St. Marks United Methodist Church, requesting a Special Use Permit for the construction of a columbarium to house niches for cremated remains within three enclosures, each measuring 5 feet tall by 6.5 feet diameter.  Property is in Single Family Residential (RS-15) zoning district, located at 1267 N. Rutherford Boulevard.

Application Z-17-020 by Tony Leebrick on behalf of the County of Rutherford (Siegel High School), requesting a Special Use Permit to construct a softball batting facility, measuring 50 feet by 100 feet (metal pole barn), adjacent to the ball fields, in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 1.  Property is in Single Family Residential (RS-15) zoning district, located at 355 W. Thompson Lane.

Application Z-17-021 by Brenda Harrell representing Journey Pointe Church, requesting a Special Use Permit for a preschool to operate within the existing church building for up to 50 children, operate four days of the week between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 1.  Property is in Residential Single Family (RS-15) zoning district, located at 1267 Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

Application Z-17-022  by Jake Lloyd of Mid America Distributor d.b.a. Fireworks Supermarket, Property Owner Alex Darsinos, requesting a Special Use Permit to allow operation of a Temporary Outdoor Vending Establishment (seasonal fireworks sales), in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Section 9.D.2(eeee).  Property is in Highway Commercial (CH) zoning district, located at 2962 S. Rutherford Blvd.

Application Z-17-023  by Jake Lloyd of Mid America Distributor d.b.a. Fireworks Supermarket, Property Owner Chris Kirby, requesting a Special Use Permit to allow operation of a Temporary Outdoor Vending Establishment (seasonal fireworks sales), in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance Section 9.D.2(eeee).  Property is in Highway Commercial (CH) zoning district, located at 1510 S. Church Street.
