BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Application Z-17-012 by Crowell Homebuilding, LLC, requesting a seven foot Variance from the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 2, requiring a minimum of forty feet front building setback for principal structures to allow 33 feet, and requesting a five foot Variance from Chart 2, requiring a minimum of thirty feet rear building setback for principal structures to allow 25 feet, for property in the Residential Single Family (RS-15) zoning district, located at 5122 General Eisenhower Drive (Lot 206 of the Liberty Valley Subdivision).

Application Z-17-013 by Fred Halfpap, representing First United Methodist Church, is requesting a Special Use Permit for the following:
  • Construction of a columbarium to house 250 niches for cremated remains within a brick enclosure measuring 7 feet tall, 26 feet long by 3 feet deep; and
  • Construction of a soccer field.  
The property is located in Residential Single Family (RS-15) zoning district, at 265 West Thompson Lane

Application Z-17-014 by John T. Frost, requesting a Special Use Permit to establish a 200 square foot accessory apartment, in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 1, within an existing detached garage structure, for the property in the Residential Single Family (RS-15) zoning district, located at 207 Gresham Lane.

Application Z-17-015 by Joseph Love on behalf of Andrew Wyatt and Dia Cirillo, requesting a Special Use Permit to establish a 462 square foot accessory apartment, in accordance with the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, Chart 1, within the existing single family detached dwelling, for the property in the Residential Single Family (RS-15) zoning district, located at 411 Apollo Drive.
