CDBG Public Service Grants
For the 2016-17 Program Year, the City of Murfreesboro has funded 13 Public Service grants totaling $113,308. The projects funded by the Public Service Grants must benefit low- and moderate-income residents of Murfreesboro. Qualified agencies (must have 501(c)3 tax-exempt status) are invited to apply for these competitive grants.

Service providers are required to verify the income of program participants. Agencies needing guidance should refer to HUD's Technical Guide for Determining Income and Allowances.

The City issued a Notice of Funding Available for the 2016-17 Program Year in January 2016. Visit the Notice of Funding Available page for details about the 2016-17 application process. The deadline for 2016-17 applications was February 29, 2016. Seventeen applications were received and 13 were approved for funding by the City Council. A listing of thosefunded can be found in Section AP-38 of the Second-Year Action Plan.

HUD requires all subrecipients receiving federal money for projects to have both a DUNS number and a System for Award Management (SAM) CAGE Code. To apply for a DUNS number online, visit
http://www.dnb.com/get-a-duns-number.html.  To apply for a System for Award Management (SAM) CAGE Code, visit https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/##11. All applicants must provide a current DUNS number and SAMS CAGE Code before the application will be accepted.
