Sports*Com publishes a list of activities it holds every month. Sports*Com's health publication, Healthlines and the department's activities publication, The Rec Connection, is available in several locations at city hall and at department facilities including its offices at the entrance to Barfield-Crescent Park.
Water (H2O) Exercise
Mon-Fri 8-9 am, MWF 6-7 pm, Sat 8:15-9:15 am
This one-hour invigorating session incorporates aerobic endurance and muscle conditioning exercises in the shallow end of the indoor pool.
Gentle Joints
(Gentle J)
Mon, Wed, Fri 9-10 am
A water exercise class with a softer side. This class is designed for those participants who require impact-free exercise while increasing their strength and balance.

Movements will work through a full range of motion for flexibility benefits. A great class for those with limitations such as arthritis, orthopedic problems, fibromalgia, and for beginning exercisers. Takes place in the shallow end of indoor pool.
Deep Water Exercise (H2O)

A high-energy cardiovascular workout combining aerobic endurance and muscle conditioning in the deep end of the indoor pool.
Step/Tone
Mon, Fri 8-9 am; Mon, Wed 5-6 pm, 6-7 pm; Sat 8:30-9:30 am, Sun 3:30-4:30 pm
One hour of bench stepping exercise guaranteed to boost your cardiovascular fitness level with some additional toning and abdominal exercises also. Located in the Fitness Studio.
Gentle Yoga
Tue, Thur 6-7 pm
One-hour class that integrates eastern culture yoga and western culture strength training to improve functional strength and flexibility, and will be challenging to participants. Located in the Fitness Studio.
Kickboxing (KB)
Mon-Thur 6:30-7:30 pm
This heart-pounding class incorporates kicking, jabbing, hooks, and uppercuts guaranteed to make you sweat! Also, the class includes some toning and abdominal exercises. Located in the meeting room.
Weight Room Circuit Training
Wed 8-9 am
This class combines intervals of bench stepping with sets on the weight equipment in the Fitness Center. Located upstairs in the Fitness Center.
Core Energy/Pilates
Tue, Thur 8:15-9:15 am
You will develop stronger abdominal and low back muscles while conditioning your total body. Discover the Core/Mind/Body connection! Located in the Fitness Studio.
Senior Power
Mon, Wed, Fri 9-9:45 am
This strength and flexibility class is for the enthusiastic and active mature persons. Participants are encouraged to walk on the indoor track or the ghost trail prior to this class to receive cardiovascular benefits. The class includes strengthening and flexibility exercises to improve seniors' functional fitness. Located in the Fitness Studio.
NEW! Total Body Conditioning
Tue, Thur 9:15-10:15 am, 5-6 pm
This new class is designed to increase your overall muscular strength and endurance by using devices such as the body bar, dumbbells, resistance bands, stability ball and your body weight for resistance. A great way to get in at least 2 days of strength.
Blood Cholesterol Test Quest Diagnostics
Sign up and pay for your blood cholesterol test at the wellness and fitness desk at Sports*Com. This test will give you the following information:
- Total Cholesterol
- HDL Cholesterol (good cholesterol)
- LDL Cholesterol (bad cholesterol)
- Triglyceride Level
- Glucose Level
The test is done on your own time at Quest Diagnostics. Results will be in within 3-4 working days.
PERSONAL FITNESS TRAINING
For ages 15 and up. By appointment only. Let Sports*Com help you take your fitness to a new level with a Personal Fitness Trainer. Appointments are set up to accommodate your schedule. $25 per 1 hour session
BUDDY TRAINING
Training for two people, $300 total for 10 one-hour sessions. Call Tiffany Clutter at 895-5040.

Body Fat Analysis will tell you what percentage of your body weight is fat. We can categorize your percentage for you and give you a good/healthy goal to strive for, along with an ideal weight. Fit Tots
Ages 3-5, Mondays10-10:45 AM, $3 per child/$1 for each additional child from the same family.
Fit Tots is a fun and active class designed to entertain preschoolers with movement activities through structured fitness games, sports, and rhythmic activities. Children need to be able to follow directions well to participate in this class. Due to popularity in this class, call 895-5040 on the morning of the day before class, to reserve a slot for your child.
