Cultural Programs
Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Cultural Arts announces the formation of Patterson Park Ensemble Players. The group is comprised of men and women who desire to study, interpret, create and produce plays, recitations and choral numbers depicting black history and culture. Cultural Arts staff member and co-artistic director for Nashville's Dream 7 Productions Shawn Whitsell is leading the group. Auditions will be held beginning the first part of January 2006 and the production will open around the first of February.
The department is also looking for speakers and singers to perform “Slave Songs of the United States” during our Black History Month Celebration.
