Athletics

The Parks and Recreation Department is proud of the diversity it offers to the community and feels that every aspect of programming is provided. For example, our Athletic Division provides a variety of team sports for all ages including:

• Youth Football and Cheerleading (see below)
• Youth and Adult Basketball
• Open, Power and Coed Volleyball
• Adult Softball
• Tennis
• Swimming
• Hershey Track and Field Program
• Sports Camps for youth

The department also coordinates with other leagues and activities that operate within the City of Murfreesboro.

The Richard Siegel Park and soccer complex is now open and consists of 132 acres at the corner of Lebanon Pike and Cherry Lane. The most recently acquired property for athletic facilities is 42 acres on Fortress Road and Wilkerson Crossing in the Blackman area.

4th Annual Murfreesboro Track and Field registration will be held throughout the month of March at Sports*Com, Patterson Park Community Center Athletic Office and the main recreation office at Barfield Crescent Park. More information
