Fleet Services

Overview

The Fleet Services Department provides preventative maintenance and repairs to the vehicles assigned to city departments. The Fleet Services Department provides city departments with assistance in planning for vehicle replacement, vehicle and equipment purchases and it disposes city owned vehicles thru auction services or salvage bids.

The Fleet Services Department has three repair facilities that divide the city's fleet according to vehicle types to take advantage of its technician's specialty certifications.

ASE

The Fleet Services Department provides Automotive Service Excellence testing for technicians throughout the county twice a year. Register for ASE tests on the available link.

Through well-maintained and safe vehicles, city departments are able to provide excellent service for the citizens of Murfreesboro.

The services of this department also effect the public directly since we maintain the Rover buses, which provide public transportation for Murfreesboro, keeping citizens safe and comfortable on their travels around the city.
