Welcome! from Marilyn Mathis, City Schools Director
Murfreesboro City Schools has had a tradition of excellence with a progressive twist throughout its history. Each of the 11 schools in the city system is committed to excellence in education and to assuring that each child has academic and personal success. It is a school system that is known for innovation that brings results for children. These results are evidenced in the system's excellent test scores. Students at every grade level and in every subject score above national and state averages on comprehensive assessment tests administered annually.
We attribute much of the success of our students to the great teachers for which our school system is known. Our teachers have high expectations for students, are innovative and caring, and establish close relationships with parents and other members of the community.
Please us at Murfreesboro City Schools.
