Councilmember Toby
Gilley
Councilmember Toby Gilley was first elected to city council
in 2000 and re-elected for a second four-year term in 2004..
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MTSU,
has completed graduate work in criminal justice at
MTSU and graduated from the University of Tennessee
School of Law.
Gilley currently represents city council on Murfreesboro
Water and Sewer Board and the city's Risk Management Committee. He has also served on the Murfreesboro Planning Commission.
He has been active with the Rutherford County Special
Olympics, Noon Rotary Club, a Boy Scouts Legal Explorer
Post and Main Street Board of Directors. As an undergraduate
at MTSU, Mr. Gilley was president of the student body
and served as a member of the Tennessee
Board of Regents.
Gilley is a partner with the law firm of Rucker, Rucker, Coleman and Gilley.
