Councilmember David Edwards
David Edwards was elected to office in 2006.
Edwards is a native of Murfreesboro and attended Mitchell-Neilson schools, Central Middle School and MTSU. He and wife, Vickie, are parents to two daughters and a son and have two grandchildren.
Edwards serves as council representative on the Murfreesboro Airport Commission, Cable Television Commission, the Linebaugh Library Board and the Board of Zoning Appeals. He demonstrated his interest in his hometown and city government before being elected by serving on the Planning Commission and Historic Zoning Commission. He also served on various civic organizations and support various charitable organizations. Edwards' wife, Vickie, is executive director of the Pregnancy Support Center.
An avid cyclist, Edwards is a member of the Murfreesboro Bicycle Club. He also loves to hike.
Edwards is vice president, Private Banking Group at Pinnacle Financial Services and the office manager of Pinnacle's 114 W. College Street branch. He is a member of Believer's Chapel.
