Professional Car Wash Coupon Program
Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department would like to encourage professional car wash businesses to participate in a program that will help insure good water quality of local streams. Fundraiser carwashes are a popular way of raising money in the Murfreesboro area. Unfortunately, the car washing is often located in an area that the wash water drains into storm drains and from there into a nearby stream. Although the city recognizes there are ways manage these car washes in a manner which don’t pollute nearby waterways; the best solution to eliminate water pollution is to use the commercial car washes that route wash water to the public sewer.
A professional carwash can get involved by establishing a coupon program. The participating car wash can sell coupons at a discounted rate to charity groups, which in turn sell them for full price, keeping the price difference. The city of Murfreesboro would like to develop and encourage this program at local commercial car washes.

The City will post your name as a participating car wash. While the City cannot endorse busineses, we can recognize those taking steps to improve water quality.
