This latest addition to the Murfreesboro Greenway System showcases a state-of-the-art reception center, gazebo, cascading waterfalls, fountains and lake overlook. Adjacent to a lighted greenway section, the island is located conveniently to the Gateway local business.   Reception Center includes a catering kitchen, multi-purpose room (15-10 capacity) and restrooms that are accessible to the public during park hours.

Rental Opportunities

The Gateway Island is available for rent seven days a week, daytime and nighttime, for a half day or full day.  A half-day rental is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 to 10 p.m. An all-day rental is 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Rates 

• Island, excluding reception center: Half-day: $150 / Full-day: $250
• Island, including reception center: Half-day: $250* / Full-day: $350*

 *Plus $200 refundable damage/cleaning deposit

Equipment rentals

• Folding chairs (100 available) $2 each
• 6-foot tables (20 available) $7 each)

Location and parking

Adjacent to the General Bragg Trailhead, the College Street Trailhead, 1902 West College St., provides connection, parking and access to the new Gateway Trail and Island.  For large groups, additional parking is available at the General Bragg Trailhead, 1540 West College St.

How to book a rental

We are now accepting rentals, please call the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Main Office at 615-890-5333 to check availability. Personal tours of the island and reception center are available.
