Officer KYLE EVANS Public Information Officer

The Public/Media Relations Office handles a variety of media inquiries and requests from Murfreesboro, Nashville, and national media agencies, which amount to thousands each year.  The office is responsible for the daily dissemination of all written media releases and police reports.  The Public Information Officer interacts and responds to members of the media on behalf of the City and the Police Department. The office also handles a variety of other tasks as requested by the Chief of Police. Currently, Murfreesboro is located in the Nashville media market (29^th largest in the nation).  Working in cooperation with City TV3 and news sections on this web site and Facebook, various Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and many In The City segments are produced to reach the citizens of Murfreesboro each year. 

It is the Mission of the Public/Media Relations office to ensure both the media and citizens have access to information and to inform the community on how officers are working to make this a safe, and more secure city.
