Background

CFA is a six-week program that offers a small group of area residents the opportunity to view and participate in the activities and services provided by the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department (MFRD). Academy participants will receive an insider’s view of the MFRD’s operations. The Academy concludes with a graduation ceremony. Class members will receive a certificate of completion from the MFRD.

Goal

To foster public awareness and understanding of the Murfreeboro Fire & Rescue Department’s mission and role in our community through citizens participation and education.

Objectives

To inform the residents of Murfreesboro as to the purpose and inner workings of the Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department;
To inform and encourage citizens to return to their neighborhoods and relay to their friends and neighbors the proper procedures to use to become more safety conscious citizens; and
To provide an interactive forum for both the Fire & Rescue Department and the citizens to share information.
