  1. Fall Hike: Stone Door to Greeter Falls

November 16, 2019, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Departs from Wilderness Station at Barfield Crescent Park

This hike will traverse through shady woodlands with crystal-clear, mountain creeks. We will start at the ranger station near Stone Door. The trail will eventually lead us to the striking 50ft Greeter Falls. We will then head back to the ranger station going along the Laurel Falls trail. In this program, the hike will be moderate to advanced because of the length, moderate elevation, and our amount of time available. The reward will far outweigh the effort! The fee includes transportation and instruction. Bring a water bottle and snacks. All participants must attend the pre-trip meeting. Space is limited, and reservations are required. For ages 18+.

  3. Perform Murfreesboro presents “The Music Man”

November 16, 2019, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ The Washington Theater at Patterson Park

Make plans this November to support our all-youth cast as they present the full-length production of “The Music Man.” “The Music Man” follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall. A Barber Shop Quartet, stuffy town mayor, and a flock of River City busybodies makes this family-friendly performance the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! Show for all ages.
