    Juneteenth is an American holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. state of Texas, and more generally the emancipation of African- American slaves throughout the former Confederacy of the southern United States. Celebrated on June 19, the word is a portmanteau of “June” and “nineteenth” .

    For ages 15 and up. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese discipline consisting of slow movements and postures done in a fluid and relaxed manner. it is used to reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve muscle strength, increase stamina and agility and increase the feeling of well-being.

  4. Movies Under the Stars

    June 16, 2018, 8:30 PM @ The Fountains at Gateway

    Movies Under the Stars returns this summer with a line up of family-orientated films. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, or truck bed. Movie lists are also available on site, on the Parks and Rec Facebook page, and at all MPRD facilities. Refreshments are available for purchase. Cancelations due to weather are posted on MPRD’s Facebook page.
