Middle Tennessee Medical Center

Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) is building a new medical campus on Medical Center Parkway in the Murfreesboro Gateway.The new hospital will have 286 beds on 68.5 acres of land owned by MTMC and is scheduled to be open in 2010. A Certificate of Need application was approved by the State on October 25, 2006.

The project is expected to cost $278 million. In addition to the hospital facility, outpatient diagnostic and surgical facilities and medical office buildings will be included on the site.

Middle Tennessee Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hospital located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. MTMC is a member of Saint Thomas Health Services and Ascension Health.

With more than 200 physicians on its medical staff, representing nearly 30 different medical specialties, MTMC offers a comprehensive array of services. MTMC's Emergency Department, greatly expanded in the summer of 2002, treats more than 50,000 patients per year. More than 90,000 patients each year seek outpatient diagnostic or treatment procedures in one of our facilities. Nearly 2,500 babies are born each year in the Women's Pavilion at MTMC, another facility that has undergone a significant expansion in 2002. The new NICU Nursery provides state-of-the-art care for at-risk babies.
