Embassy Suites and Conference Center

Construction on the hotel portion of Murfreesboro’s first multi-use hotel and conference center is on schedule for completion in the fall of this year, officials have announced.

One of the largest facilities of its kind in the area, the hotel and conference center will feature 10 stories with 283 suites, as well as 43,325 square feet of meeting and event space.

As the largest convention space outside of Davidson County, the hotel will fill a unique niche in the greater Nashville market with a large adjoining conference center able to accommodate small and large group events, as well as individual stays.

With its 28,800 square-foot Grand Ballroom, third largest in the Greater Nashville market behind Gaylord Opryland, the property will be owned and managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.

“There is a lot of anticipation within this community and the hotel industry about this property …,” said the facility’s general manager, David Latture. “We have tremendous support from the city of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, both of which understand the great need and potential benefit of this type of facility in the area.”

The hotel will create an estimated 225 jobs and contribute $23 million in revenue to the local economy annually, according to the American Lodging Association.

“We are booking events and conferences and receiving inquiries about the hotel and meeting space on a daily basis, and we have also started taking reservations for overnight stays,”, director of sales and marketing Becky Vealey said. “It is great to serve a market in need where the community is also extremely supportive. We have a lot of momentum building up.”

Located near SR-840 in the southeast quadrant of I-24 and Medical Center Parkway, the development is located adjacent to The Avenue Murfreesboro, a Faison & Associates and Cousins Properties lifestyle center that offers a variety of shopping opportunities in an open-air setting.
