The Murfreesboro City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to consider ‘First Reading’ of the FY21 Budget ordinance, proposed tax rate, and appropriation ordinances, Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Second reading will be considered on either June 10 or June 11. A copy of the Proposed FY21 Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, is available on the City’s website at
A Budget Review Session on the FY21 Budget was conducted by Council on May 21.
In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Gov. Bill Lee, as amended by Executive Order No. 32, this public hearing may be conducted electronically, and in the interest of public health, safety, and welfare in light of the coronavirus, there may be no or limited physical access to the meeting. Updates regarding whether a meeting will be conducted electronically and the extent to which members of the public will be permitted to attend the meeting will be posted on the City’s website and via social media. Information about how to participate in the public hearing electronically will also be posted on the City’s website on or before June 2, 2020.
