David Price ‘Gets the Ball Rolling’ at Miracle Field, MPD HQ Beam Signing, more 'In the City'

‘In the City’ features the ‘Beam Signing’ for the new MPD Headquarters, a new Bark Park at Cason Lane Trailhead, and Murfreesboro native David Price ‘Gets the Ball Rolling’ at Miracle Field.  Miracle Field’s anticipated opening is scheduled for April 1.  The February 2017 show is available for viewing on YouTube at https://youtu.be/tnnwatQJ-YA.

Airing throughout the month of February, ‘In the City’ features:

• The Murfreesboro City Council is taking Town Hall meetings on the road. • Murfreesboro native David Price helped Miracle Field ‘Get the Ball Rollin’ on the project site in McKnight Park, scheduled to open April 1, 2017.  Hear what the Cy Young Award Winner and 5-time MLB All Star believes Miracle Field will do for Murfreesboro, baseball fans, and youth.

• Get a first-hand look at Murfreesboro’s second Bark Park now open at Cason Lane Greenway Trailhead, 1100 Cason Trail.  Greenway Coordinator Melinda Tate explains why a second park has been added. Dog owners share their excitement about the park’s new features, open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. 
• The new Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) Headquarters building is taking shape on Highland Avenue with an added personal touch.  Watch as the last i-beam is hoisted into place with signatures from citizens and dignitaries.
• It was the coldest temperature on record for this year’s Polar Bear Plunge dedicated to the late Vice Mayor Doug Young.  Young was a faithful participant of the annual event and the Greenhouse Ministries food bank it supports.  The Doug Young Public Service Award was presented to Scoutmaster Mike Warren of Boy Scout Troop 398 of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
• Plus, Black Fox Elementary gets a $2 million expansion, Mitchell Neilson Elementary has “A Good Day at School,” Linebaugh Public Library gets a new driver’s license renewal kiosk, Tree Day on March 18, and more.
