Legal Notice of Public Hearing

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on April 7, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2021-402] to rezone approximately 0.66 acres located along Lee Street from CM-R (Medical District Residential) and CCO (City Core Overlay District) to PRD (Planned Residential District) and CCO.  The purpose of the proposed PRD (Lee Street Towns PRD) is to allow the development of seven (7) single-family residential attached dwelling units (e.g., townhomes).  The application is being made by Lee Street Partnership, whose representative, Mr. Clyde Rountree of Huddleston-Steele, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-893-4084 for additional information.  Copies of the application and the PRD pattern book are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.   Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on April 7, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2021-404] to amend the One East College PUD (Planned Unit District) zoning on approximately 2.42 acres located along East College Street, North Spring Street, East Lytle Street, and North Church Street.  The purpose of the requested PUD amendment is to modify the proposed uses, layout, and architecture.  The application is being made by 705 4th Avenue South Holding Company, LLC, whose representative, Mr. Matt Taylor of SEC, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-890-7901 for additional information.  Copies of the application and the PUD pattern book are available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that they will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.   Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2021-405] to zone approximately 116.7 acres along Burnt Knob Road and Blackman Road to GDO-3 (Gateway Design Overlay District 3) and to rezone approximately 101.7 acres of the same parcel from P (Park District) to CH (Highway Commercial District).  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro, whose representative, Mr. Sam Huddleston, may be contacted at (615)-893-6441 for additional information.  A copy of the application is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that it will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.   Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

 The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 PM on April 7, 2021 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2021-406] to zone five (5) parcels totaling approximately 52.7 acres along Burnt Knob Road and Veterans Parkway to GDO-1 (Gateway Design Overlay District 1).  The application is being made by the City of Murfreesboro, whose representative, Mr. Sam Huddleston, may be contacted at (615)-893-6441 for additional information.  A copy of the application is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that it will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearing.   Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

The above hearings may be held in-person or electronically.  If the hearings will be held electronically, this determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by the Friday before the scheduled hearing.  In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended by Executive Order No. 34 on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 51 on June 29, 2020, by Executive Order No. 60 on August 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 65 on October 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 71 on December 22, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 78 on February 26, 2021, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there may not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety, and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

The public may access the meeting live electronically through Murfreesboro CityTV, which may be accessed via Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 and streamed on Roku, YouTube (www.youtube.com/cityofmurfreesboro), Facebook (www.facebook.com/cityofmurfreesborotn), and the City’s website (www.murfreesborotn.gov).

 If you wish to speak during an electronic public hearing, please contact the Planning Department at (615) 893-6441 or planning@murfreesborotn.gov by 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled public hearing, to arrange participation in the public hearing remotely by video or audio.  Individuals who provide the necessary information by this time will be sent an email with electronic access instructions and will be permitted to speak either via the Zoom app or by phone. Individuals who have arranged to speak are strongly encouraged to download the Zoom app to their computer, tablet, or phone in advance of the meeting.
