Legal Notice of Public Hearings


The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on February 7, 2018 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2017-423] to amend the PRD (Planned Residential District) zoning for the Kimbro Woods PRD on approximately 28.18 acres located along Saint Andrews Drive and Veterans Parkway.  The proposed amendment would reduce the minimum lot width for the proposed single-family residentials lots from 60’ to 55’.  The application is being made by Kimbro Development Group, LLC, whose representative, Mr. Clyde Rountree of Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc., may be contacted at (615)-893-4084 for additional information.  A copy of the application is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall and it is anticipated that it will be posted on the City’s web page at www.murfreesborotn.gov the week of the public hearingInterested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

The Murfreesboro Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 PM on February 7, 2018 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 111 W. Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee to consider an application [2017-809] to amend Murfreesboro City Code Appendix A – Zoning, Section 13, Planned Development Regulations; Section 19, Residential Districts; Section 21, Commercial Districts; and Chart 1 and Chart 1 Endnotes, Uses Permitted by Zoning District.  The purposes of the proposed amendments are to:  restrict the use “dwelling, multiple-family” as a use permitted by right in the RM-12 (Residential Multi-family District 12), RM-16 (Residential Multi-family District 16), CBD (Central Business District), and MU (Mixed Use District) zoning districts to properties having been zoned RM-12, RM-16, CBD, or MU on or prior to December 31, 2017; limit future rezoning applications for the use “dwelling, multiple-family” to the Planned Unit District (PUD) or Planned Residential District (PRD) zoning districts; add an introductory paragraph to Chart 1 Endnotes, Uses Permitted by Zoning District; and remove all references to “RM-22,” an obsolete zoning district.  A copy of the amendment is available for review in the office of the Planning Director in City Hall.  Interested parties may also obtain additional information by calling the Murfreesboro Planning Staff at (615)-893-6441.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
