In conjunction with its CDBG Public Service Grant program, the City of Murfreesboro issues a Notice of Funding Available annually, usually in January. CDBG Public Service Grant activities must benefit low- and moderate-income residents of Murfreesboro. Community Development Block Grant regulations (24 CFR 570.201) allow the use of grant funds for a wide range of public service activities, including, but not limited to:
Substance abuse counseling and treatment
Public safety services
Fair Housing activities
Services for senior citizens
Qualified nonprofit agencies (applicant organizations must have 501(c)3 tax-exempt status) and government agencies are invited to apply for these competitive grants.
