LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Application Z-21-002 by TNT Fireworks, represented by Joey Rouse, is requesting a special use permit in order to operation a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 4432 Veterans Parkway.  (Project Planner: Austin Cooper)


Application Z-21-003 by TNT Fireworks, represented by Joey Rouse,
is requesting a special use permit in order to operation a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 2946 S. Church Street.  (Project Planner: Austin Cooper)

Application Z-21-004 by H. C. Klover Architects is requesting a special use permit in order to install an drive-up window electronic menu board and queuing lane within 200 feet of property zoned RS in a Commercial Fringe (CF) zone for property located at 2901 South Church Street.  (Project Planner: Austin Cooper)

Application Z-21-005 by Bethel Community Church is a special use permit modification in order to construct a pavilion in a Single Family Residential (RS-10) zone for property located at 1503 Sulphur Springs Road.  (Project Planner:  Austin Cooper)

Application Z-21-006 by Journey Home is a special use permit for a mission and group shelter in a Heavy Industrial (H-I) zone for property located at 1231 Old Salem Road. (Project Planner: Brad Barbee)

The Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public meeting during which all interested parties will have an opportunity to ask questions, express opposition, or express support regarding this application.  For further information, please contact the Planning Department at (615)-893-6441.

These hearings may be held in-person or electronically.  If the hearings will be held electronically, this determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by the Friday before the scheduled hearing.  In accordance with Executive Order No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended by Executive Order No. 34 on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 51 on June 29, 2020, by Executive Order No. 60 on August 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 65 on October 28, 2020, by Executive Order No. 71 on December 22, 2020, and by Executive Order No. 78 on February 26, 2021, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there may not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The public may access the meetings live electronically through Murfreesboro CityTV, which may be accessed via Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99 and streamed on Roku, YouTube (www.youtube.com/cityofmurfreesboro), Facebook (www.facebook.com/cityofmurfreesborotn), and the City’s website (www.murfreesborotn.gov).

Individuals who have arranged to speak are strongly encouraged to download the Zoom app to their computer, tablet, or phone in advance of the meeting.
