Risk Management

The City of Murfreesboro is self-insured for workers' compensation and liability claims. The Risk Management Fund was created for the purpose of administering these funds in accordance with T.C.A. §29-20-205.

The City's Risk Management Program includes:

  • Managing the workers' compensation administrator handling claims by City employees
  • Managing the City's insurance coverage
  • Identifying, minimizing, and preventing risk exposures through employment of a Occupational Safety and Health Administrator and regular inspections of City facilities
  • Providing educational training videos for City employees
