Lead & Copper Residential Questionnaire

The Murfreesboro Water Resources Department (MWRD) is conducts lead and copper analysis in our customers’ homes provided it meets with the requirements established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). The primary source of lead and copper in drinking water is copper pipes, lead solder used to join copper pipes, lead service lines and customer's residential plumbing and fixtures. The monitoring that MWRD performs is done to provide safe drinking water to all our customers. We need your help to determine the best locations to test for lead and copper.

Please fill out questionnaire below. If your house meets criteria provided by State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), we may ask to test your water in 2023.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Laboratory Supervisor, Kim Burritt, at (615) 848-3222 extension 3305, or by email at kburritt@murfreesborotn.gov.
