Notice of Public Hearings, June 18, 2020



Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing before the City Council of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be held in the Council Chambers of the Murfreesboro City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, in said City on Thursday, June 18, 2020 beginning at 6:00 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of considering a proposed amendatory Ordinance 20-OZ-17 amending the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, constituting a part of said Zoning Ordinance, at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to said Ordinance.  The proposed amendatory Ordinance, if and when effective, will amend said Zoning Ordinance so as to modify the conditions of the Planned Unit Development (PUD) District, as indicated on the attached map, for the purpose of allowing “hospital” as a permitted use within the area identified as C-4 in the pattern book.

This hearing may be held in-person or electronically; determination will be made and posted on the City’s website by Friday, June 12, 2020. In accordance with Executive Orders No. 16 issued by Governor Bill Lee on March 20, 2020, as subsequently amended on May 6, 2020, by Executive Order No. 34, the meeting described above may be conducted electronically, and there will not be physical public access to the meeting due to the need to protect public health, safety and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individuals who provide the necessary information by this time will be sent an email with electronic access instructions and will be permitted to speak either via the Zoom app or by phone. Individuals who have arranged to speak are strongly encouraged to download the Zoom app to their computer, tablet, or phone in advance of the meeting.
